I am originally from Wales but have been living in Australia for four years now. I love the lifestyle and the diversity over here.
I am very excited about JET English College bringing the Callan Method to Australia and am proud to be a part of the team that is doing this. I think the method is simple, but very effective and I hope that it will help students become confident, fluent English speakers.
In my spare time I enjoy painting, horse riding, reading and playing the guitar badly as well as enjoying the beaches and nightlife of Sydney.

Having been born overseas and spent my years travelling most of Europe, Asia and America. I love learning new languages and cultures. A year in Korea as a language teacher has sparked my enthusiasm for teaching ESL. Secondly I find the Callan Method to be an exciting and effective way for students to learn English in a practical way and a fun way to teach English.

David Lancaster

I enjoy teaching English at JET English College. The Callan Method is a fast and effective way for students to learn English. Teaching at JET English College allows me the freedom and flexibility to do other things that I enjoy. I also enjoy teaching guitar for my own business and performing regularly in a rock band called 'The Presence'. I love drinking coffee and listening to most genres of music.

Eugenia Soto Soto

I am an artist and an aromatherapist. I am also a lover of words and fine music. I am currently working with people that have a mental disability to help to improve their lives. I am a new recruit to the Callan Method and I am looking forward to using this opportunity to help people with their studies.

I've only been teaching at JET English College for a few weeks and I'm finding teaching a great challenge, yet very rewarding. The staff and students are welcoming and friendly, making JEC a comfortable place to work in.
I like the Callan Method because it's very interactive and dynamic, as it ensures that every student has an opportunity to speak English. Watching students improve week by week shows how effective the method is.
Besides teaching, I enjoy shopping reading and eating chocolate.

Teaching at Jet English College is one of the most fun and interesting jobs I have ever had. It's amazing how fast students can learn to speak English!
I am currently studying to become a high school history teacher at UNSW. Other than teaching I love live music, baking, reading and travelling.

It’s a privilege to be teaching here at JEC. Our students share a great enthusiasm for learning English and it’s a pleasure to help them do so whilst seeing them enjoy a bit of the Australian experience.
Although I’m originally from Jindabyne in the Snowy Mountains, I’ve studied here in Sydney and have spent the past three years teaching ESL throughout China and Poland.
I’m passionate about travel, language and fostering a desire for higher learning and I look forward to becoming a valued member of the JEC community.

Larissa Fogden

JEC is such a fun place to work and each lesson is always different. I love leaving the classroom knowing that I've just helped someone improve their English.
I'm currently studying to become an English and Drama teacher at university and I would love to teach English overseas at some point in the future.
Besides teaching I love listening to music, going to the theatre, reading good books, watching bad television and having coffee with friends.

Lisa Sciberras

Teaching at JEC is like no other job I've ever had and I love it! The college is a very friendly place to work and the students are a pleasure to teach.
I have a background in acting, which has really helped me to ease into this role. I also love the sound of my own voice and I can talk underwater with a mouth full of marbles!
I'm a professional hair and make up artist, I work in the advertising and fashion industry as well as operating my own bridal business.
I'm also a rockclimbing enthusiast, so when I'm not teaching or making beautiful people even more beautiful, I can often be found scaling walls both indoors and outdoors.

Working at Jet English College, has been a great outlet for me to be able to help people from other countries boost there skills in speaking English.
After tutoring many students, I can see that the Callan method is far superior to any other in giving English students the skills they need.
Apart from teaching, I work as a freelance commercial photographer, photography is my dream and passion and I wish to go very far in this field.
In my spare time I enjoy good coffee, having great food and beer, meeting friends and travelling overseas!

It's great to be a teacher with JEC, and to work with such friendly and committed students and staff. I vastly enjoy teaching and I regard it as a double blessing to be able to teach my mother tongue in my native city.
Having studied Italian in the past, I also appreciate how hard it can sometimes seem to master a foreign language, but the students at JEC manage it with aplomb.
Outside of teaching, my interests include Art (having come from a background of Fine Arts myself), history, and music, though I am sure I play the guitar worse than John!

Jet English College is a fun and vibrant place to work. All the staff are extremely helpful and the students are a delight to teach. When I’m not teaching at JEC, I spend most of my time writing − poems, short stories, novels and film scripts. Originally from Sydney, I’ve lived on and off in the UK and Italy over the last ten years. I love travelling and learning about other cultures, both contemporary and historical − especially as it also affords a great opportunity to pursue my favourite hobby − photography. I seem to have spent most of my life at university, completing a PhD in early medieval Italian history at the University of Cambridge, and, just recently, a Masters in Creative writing at UTS. I love being in an educational environment, and working at JEC is a great way to stay sharp as a teacher and communicator. It is especially rewarding having such enthusiastic students.

Travelling as a child opened my eyes to many cultures and began my love for languages. I have always wanted to teach English, but never found a school where I could see the students progress. When I went to see a Callan Method lesson, I was taken back by how much the students were learning and knew this was a learning experience I wanted to be apart of. I find it a joy to come to work as the students are always wonderful to teach and the staff are a pleasure to work with. When I'm not teaching, I'm studying, listening to music, going for a run or catching up with friends.

Hi, my name is Sam. I studied music composition at the University of Sydney and have been writing music for short films roughly for the last 10 years, as well as various electronic music. I also enjoy playing the piano and the guitar and very much enjoy studying other cultures and world religions. I speak French and have studied a little bit of Spanish, Latin and Japanese etc. I think teaching or learning a language is a very interesting and rewarding experience, especially as we learn about other cultures.

Lizzie Macpherson

Hi my name is Lizzie. I grew up in Asia and have spent most of my life either living in or travelling around Asia and the world.
I am also a yoga teacher and personal trainer. I enjoy all kinds of teaching and interacting with people. I’ve been working at JEC for a few months now and I love the constantly changing fast pace environment which keeps things interesting for both student and teacher.
I enjoy watching the progress of my students and learning about them and their cultures. It is a thoroughly rewarding work environment with wonderful students and teachers.

I've previously taught English as a second language in Asia and the Middle East. I really enjoy teaching ESL in particular because of the variety of cultures and people it allows me to connect with. Teaching here at JET English College is fantastic. The interesting teachers and bright, friendly students create a really nice and relaxed working environment.
I love drinking coffee, eating chocolate and traveling.

I'm originally of Indian decent, however I was born and brought up here in Sydney.
My interests include Indian dancing, traveling and reading.
The teaching staff and students at JEC English College are always so pleasant and have certainly made the college a home away from home. Work never feels like work with the fun hours of teaching, neither the teacher nor the student can give boredom a chance. The imparting of knowledge of any kind is a great honour and I feel very fortunate that it has been bestowed upon me. I can definitely say that working at JET English College has been and will continue to be a great experience.

Kristy Barzdevicius

My name is Kristy Barzdevicius and I am thrilled to become a teacher at JEC. The students and staff members at JET English College are all very friendly and make the atmosphere at the JEC so enjoyable! I love meeting people from around the world, and I have enjoyed doing this over the past 2 years where I lived in England and Canada. I have also had the joy of teaching English in Japan for 8 months, which was something I thoroughly enjoyed! My hobbies include travelling (I've been to about 20 countries including Europe, North America and Asia), listening to music and being creative.

Alex Fogden

I love teaching at JET English College because the staff and students are so friendly and helpful. English has become increasingly important in our world and the Callan Method is a quick and comprehensive way to learn a high standard of English. In my spare time I enjoy a good coffee, traveling, listening to music, viewing art and reading literature.

The opportunity to facilitate people in learning the English language is an honour, and a passion that I am now blessed to realise by teaching at Jet English College. To become a teacher has been a life-long aspiration and I am completing a degree in Adult Education at university to ensure that my springboard into teaching is robust on both a theoretical and experiential level.
Some hobbies and interests that I am very passionate about include belly dancing, listening to music, playing the piano, travel and of course shopping! I am intrigued by the diversity of traditions and cultures in our world and wish to enrich my understanding and appreciation of these through travel. I am very excited and enthused to be part of the helpful and friendly teaching staff here at Jet English College. I love meeting new people and look forward to sharing the journey of learning with students.

I'm originally from South Africa and have been in Sydney for three years. It's a great city and I love all it has to offer.
Teaching at this college has been a great experience for me and I'm thoroughly enjoying working here. I've had an interest in languages for a long time and am currently studying German, which has given me greater understanding of the challenges of learning a new language. The staff are great to work with and very helpful. I think the Callan Method is brilliant especially for a student's pronunciation and when done properly it's impossible for either the student or the teacher to get bored.
I hope to continue teaching the method for a long time and to be as good a teacher as I can be.

Hello. I really enjoy working at Jet English College. All the students & teachers are very friendly. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy playing indoor soccer, DJing or socializing. I really enjoy traveling & hope to visit other countries to gain a higher understanding of different cultures and languages.

I am happy to be teaching English at Jet English College. I have studied a little Spanish, German and Classical Greek and I think studying a second language can be a very interesting activity.
Previously, I have been a surf-lifesaver and played rugby. I am currently competing in rowing and learning to play saxophone. I also enjoy surfing, playing and watching sports, listening to music and reading philosophy, literature and history.

I was born in Sydney to Hungarian parents, grew up in Sydney and have spent the last few years working as a chef. I enjoy the beach in summer, eating out and spirituality. I live in the south west of Sydney with my 21 year old daughter, but we would love to live closer to the beach . I thoroughly enjoy teaching at Jet English College and love to see the students’ English improve.

Although an English college, Jet English College is not just beneficial for its students, as a teacher, there is much I have gained since teaching my first lesson.
With the desire of further increasing my understanding of other cultures, JEC provides the ‘socially educational’ environment that allows for both teachers & students to exchange and educate each other about cultural differences. Outside the lessons students of JEC are more than willing to take up the position of teacher and reverse the usual process.
Being from the country, living on the side of a mountain, I am often lost with the way of the city of Sydney , along with most of the students. It’s comforting not to be alone.
When not teaching, or studying myself, I like to take it easy with a night out with friends, or a DVD at home, either sound good.
JEC provides a learning atmosphere that contains a friendly, social element in addition with an element of hard work and determination. I look forward to being a part of JEC’s future.

Laura Chan

I've been a student of languages for several years, having studied Latin, Indonesian and a bit of Japanese. JEC is a fun environment to work and learn in, and I enjoy interacting with the students. My hobbies include playing classical guitar, knitting, and shopping.

Kathy McGuigan

Finding JEC was like a dream come true for me. I get to work with great people and I thoroughly enjoy watching the progress of the students as they work through the books of the Callan Method. You can really see the difference in their pronunciation from when they start to when they move on to other things.
Besides teaching I like chatting with friends over a coffee or going out for a drink. I also find foreign movies very interesting because they expose me to different cultures from around the world.

Having lived in Queensland for the most part of my life, I moved to Sydney four years ago.
I love this city, its people and its amazing harbour.
Joining the JET English College teaching staff has been an exciting and rewarding experience
- theyユre friendly, approachable and always willing to help.
I love teaching with this method. Itユs fast, practical and always lots of fun.
Meeting the diverse range of students at JET English College has been a great experience and
I look forward to assisting them and new students in strengthening their grasp on the English language.

I am looking forward to teaching at the JET English College for two reasons,
firstly the friendly and fun environment created by the staff and students at the college.
Secondly I find the Callan Method to be an exciting and effective way for students to
learn English in a practical way.
In my spare time I make short films and perform regularly as a comic improviser and actor.
